This site is dedicated to the memory of Annette Ward.

Our dear Mum, Nanny, Daughter, Sister and Aunty was diagnosed with Lung Cancer on 26th August 2015, four weeks later she was cruelly taken from us.
Annette devoted her life to her family. Her ambition was to be a fantastic Mother and a doting Nanny, which she excelled at.
Throughout the four weeks Annette showed unbelievable bravery and only had thoughts of the loved ones she was leaving behind. We thought we would have longer all together to share more special times and memories but this wasn't to be.
It was Annette's wish, that one day a breakthrough would occur enabling Lung Cancer to be diagnosed earlier allowing other Mothers, Nannies, Daughters, Sisters and Aunties to have longer together as a family.

Well done Christine. We are so proud of you and your Mum would be too. We know how incredibly hard it was for you both physically and emotionally, but you did it and you have your London Marathon Medal to prove it. Grandad and I will be adding more money to Annette's fund when we have sold the bedding and tomato plants I have been raising. The sale will start as soon as the weather warms up, hopefully in two weeks time. Lots of love Nan and Grandad.

My Sister The day you went into your eternal sleep We bowed our heads and began to weep All our pleas you could not hear If only we could have kept you near Away from the voices of those who went before Who beckoned you to come to that distant shore. We find it so very hard to believe That you have gone and we must grieve We call out your name - you answer not We look for you in every familiar spot Everything seems to strange and serreal We ask everyday is it a dream or real? Where are your soft brown eyes of affection? Where is your laughter and talk of childhood reflection? Where is your loving care you gave when your loved ones were sick or sad? Where is your generous soul for which we were glad? Where is your forgiving and understanding heart? Where are the bonds that were there from the start? We miss all the little ways you showed you cared For there were so many good moments we shared Looking back on our life's assorted scenes We realise you taught us what love truly means You were my trusted confidante and best friend On whose loving support we could always depend I look at your smiling face in all our photos Memories flood our minds as we touch the mementos From the happy times we have all had But now these bring tears and make us sad For the time together went by in a wink Life was not as long as we'd like to think Can we believe what others say of a better place? Where our beloved ones rest in each others warm embrace We should be happy you're free of pain and sorrow And rejoice that you will always hear tomorrow How can we then be so heartbroken and selfishly cry Return to us from the peaceful place where you lie Although we cry and stand grief stricken by you now We promise not to forget all the loving memories you gave We miss you so much my loving sister dear Your caring words I once again long to hear My hearts only solace is one day I will see you as before Beckoning me to come, join you on that White Distant Shore xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
